- Heschong Mahone Group - A professional consulting firm which has done many studies in the field of building energy efficiency.
- ENERGY STAR - A government-backed program helping businesses and individuals protect the environment through superior energy efficiency.
- National Fenestration Rating Council - A non-profit, public/private organization created by the window, door and skylight industry. It is comprised of manufacturers, suppliers, builders, architects and designers, specifiers, code officials, utilities and government agencies. NFRC provides consistent ratings on window, door and skylight products.
- The Green Building Initiative™ - The GBI is a not for profit organization whose mission is to accelerate the adoption of building practices that result in energy-efficient, healthier and environmentally sustainable buildings by promoting credible and practical green building approaches for residential and commercial construction.
